NOHOJOBS.COM
Serving Northampton, Massachusetts and Neighboring Towns
Below are some sample listings (completely fictional!) which can be used as a guide for writing
and posting job advertisements on NohoJobs.com.  While you may use up to 150 words to describe
the position you are seeking to fill, it is naturally up to you how much and what information you want
to provide about your opening and business or company at this stage of the hiring process.  A job
title/job category and "how to apply" information are required, but the rest is up to you!  Some
suggestions of additional information to include might be:

  •  Description of position and/or its responsibilities
  •  Minimum requirements for qualification
  •  Hours, wage/salary and benefits information (if desired and applicable)
  •  Link to website (if desired and applicable)

For some jobs, a simple (short) advertisement may be all you want or need to reach your targeted
applicants.  For others, a more descriptive (medium or long) advertisement will give you the
additional room needed to describe your position, and also provide extra enticement for the most
specifically qualified candidates to apply.
